Beauty Tip of the Month- Citrus Steam

- Put 2 quarts of water on the stove so it can start heating up

-Wash your face, then wash it again. The first wash removes surface dirt and the second will remove stubborn stuff that's hiding deeper.

-When the water boils, squeeze both lemon halves into the pot then drop them both into the water. Cover the bowl and let it sit for a minute.

-Put the pot on a table and sit down directly in front of it. Get comfortable, you'll be sitting there 10 minutes.

-Drape a towel over your head and put your face 8-10 inches above the pot.

-Relax and breathe deeply

-After 10 minutes, rinse with warm water, cleaning out the pores, then splash your face with cold water to close them.

-Moisturize.

Friday Cocktail- Margaritas!

This is the most yummy Margarita ever! Add the following ingredients in a shaker with ice or a blender with ice and shake or blend-

1 1/2 oz Tequila

1 oz Grand Marnier

1/4 oz lime juice

For a new twist, mix margarita salt and sugar together for the rim of your glass. Line the glass with lime juice then dip in sugar salt mixture. Pour in your margarita and ENJOY!

Ancient Egyptian Cleanser-

-Wet your face and massage honey into your skin
-Move your fingers in circles from the top to the bottom of your face. -Rinse well -Close pores with cold water then moisturize.

Prom Ladies & Gentleman

Does this make you want to go to prom or what? I tanned these pretty gals and some others before prom last week. I had so much fun I wanted to tag along... I think I'm a few years over the age cutoff though. The other picture is of one of my ex students and one of the girl's boyfriends... I tanned his arms because as you can see, he enjoys showing them off.

Friday Cocktail- Cosmo

This is the best Cosmo ever... super simple too.

1 oz Vodka (yes, I like vodka very much)
1/2 oz Triple Sec
1/2 oz Rose's Lime Juice
1/2 oz Cranberry Juice

Directions: Combine ingredients in a shaker or large cup filled with ice. Shake or stir it all together then pour into a cute glass. Garnish with a lime and ENJOY! Thank you Sex in the City- this drink still rocks.

Ok, So when I show up to tan people sometimes they have no idea what they're in for. In fact, some people think I haul a trailer with a huge tanning booth on it. Not quite :) Here are some great pictures of what I do. It's airbrush spray tanning. Look how much fun I'm having! I generally have that stupid smile on throughout the day. What can I say, I'm happy!

Friday Night Cocktail!!!

This is an old recipe from my college days. Shout out to all my Bun Hugger bartenders!

Lemonade Cocktail

Ingredients -Vodka, Lemon, Sugar, Sprite

Directions- Put a shot of Vodka (or two if it's been a long week) in a shaker with ice. If you don't have a shaker use a big plastic cup filled with ice. Add the juice of one whole lemon (a couple of tablespoons), a tablespoon sugar (more if you have a sweet tooth), and a half a cup sprite. If you are a light weight add more like a cup of sprite to cut the vodka. Shake in the shaker or stir hard in a big cup- pour into a fancy glass that makes you feel like a big shot and ENJOY! Happy Friday!

Prom!

Let me make this perfectly clear- the BEST diet known to man comes directly after tanning a bunch of teenage girls... seriously! How beautiful is this girl? And this dress? Oh, the tan is pretty too right? :) Thanks ladies for a great tanning party! It made me week!

Prom Party!

Today is prom day for many kid's in the Sunny Girl area and last night we tanned a few of those kiddos getting ready for this special day! The girls opted to send us pictures of themselves fully dressed for prom but this brave young man (the lone male at the tanning party) allowed us to take before and afters of him. He didn't want to be too dark so this is an example of a slight natural glow. It worked- he had quite the strut after being tanned and the girls told him he looked like a hunk :) Methinks he'll dance with many young ladies tonight!
